Beth Koh - '06
Beth Koh is an associate in Wendel, Rosen, Black & Dean LLP's environmental practice group. Koh has clerked for the Natural Resources Defense Council where she was involved with National Environmental Quality Act (NEPA) and Endangered Special Act (ESA) claims, worked on pesticide testing and mercury release issues, and assisted with wilderness preservation programs.  She also clerked for the California Office of the Attorney General in the Natural Resources Section, assisting in litigation for state agencies, such as the Department of Forestry, State Water Resources Control Board, Air Resources Board and Department of Pesticide Regulation. Koh earned her J.D. from University of California, Hastings College of Law in San Francisco (2007) and her B.A. in molecular and cellular biology from University of California, Berkeley (1997).  She is a member of the Regional Parks Botanic Garden, California Native Grasslands Association, California Native Plant Society and California Oak Foundation.

Josh Maltzer - '09
Josh Maltzer earned his J.D. from U.C Hastings College of the Law in 2009.  During law school, Josh worked for the East Bay Municipal Utility District, where he focused on legal issues regarding water rights, transfers, administrative agency authority, and trends in prior water rights litigation.  He also interned in the Office of General Counsel at THX Ltd. and for the litigation department in the San Francisco City Attorney's Office. Prior to law school, Josh graduated from Tulane University, after which he went on to serve in AmeriCorps and found the relief agency, Joint Partnership for Antigua Cooperation in Antigua, Guatemala.  Josh chaired the 2009 water law symposium and has served as a trustee since February, 2009.  He originally hails from Sacramento, California.​

​Aaron Baker- UC Hastings '08
Aaron was born in San Diego. He received his B.A. from UC Berkeley and his M.A. from the University of Chicago. Aaron first found his interest in water law and policy, as have so many others, in the pages of Marc Reisner's Cadillac Desert.  After practicing water law for two years at Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, in Santa Barbara, Aaron has recently returned to the Bay Area and is now serving as General Counsel for the 8 Shields Institute.

Priscilla De Muizon- '06
Priscillia de Muizon is an attorney at Coombs & Dunlap, LLP in Napa, California.  Her practice focuses on business, land use and real estate.  Priscillia was previously a research attorney at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco, and an attorney at Morrison & Foerster in the Land Use and Environmental Law practice group.  She earned her J.D. in 2006 from Boalt Hall, where she served as an Articles Editor for the Ecology Law Quarterly and helped found the annual student-organized Water Law Symposium. Priscillia currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Napa Humane Society and the Project Committee of the Napa Land Trust.

Jason Fellner- '06
Jason Fellner is a business and litigation attorney at Murphy, Pearson, Bradley & Feeney in San Francisco.  He is an American Board of Trial Advocates (A.B.O.T.A.) Trial College Fellow and serves as a Commissioner on the City of Millbrae's Parks & Recreation Commission.  He co-chaired the 2006 California Water Law Symposium and has been a part of the Water Law Symposium’s growth since its inauguration in 2005.  Mr. Fellner is a graduate of the University of San Francisco School of Law and the University of California, San Diego.  When he is not working, Mr. Fellner can be found surfing the waves at Ocean Beach and spending time with his family.

Megan W. Poole - '08
Megan Poole graduated from the University of San Francisco School of Law with the class of 2008 and was admitted to the State Bar of California later that year. Currently Megan is in private practice specializing in water and remediation issues. Before her studies at USF Megan was an environmental scientist consulting on water quality projects. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Michigan. Megan is originally from Piedmont, California.
Susan Gilbert-Miller, Ph.D - '11
Susan Gilbert-Miller graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She served as Chair of the 2010 California Water Law Symposium, which received the American Bar Association's Section of Environment, Energy and Resources Law Student Project of the Year Award. Susan obtained a Ph.D. from the Institute of Development, Policy and Management (IDPM), Department of Economic and Social Sciences, University of Manchester, England, with comparative research on international water policy. During law school, she worked as a Law Clerk for the Department of Justice, Environment and Natural Resources Division in Washington D.C.; U.S. EPA's Office of Regional Counsel, Region 9; and the Natural Heritage Institute. Currently, Susan is a Presidential Management Fellow at the U.S. Department of Labor where she works to realize the goals of Executive Order 13514, Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance. ​

Anthony Austin- '11
Anthony Austin is currently clerking for Judge Diana Terry on the Colorado Court of Appeals. He received his J.D., with Highest Honors, from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2011, and his LL.M. in Environmental and Natural Resources Law and Policy from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2012. Anthony served as a Panel Co-Chair for the 2010 California Water Law Symposium and as the Symposium Chair for the 2011 California Water Law Symposium. While earning his J.D. and LL.M., he worked for the Office of Regional Counsel at the EPA, Region VIII, Earthjustice’s Rocky Mountain and California regional offices, GGU's Environmental Law and Justice Clinic, Magistrate Judge Edward Chen in the Northern District of California, and the California Attorney General's Office in the Natural Resources Section. Anthony was also awarded the 2009 ABA Diversity Fellowship in Environmental Law. He was the President of GGU's Environmental Law Society, the 2010 Symposium Edition Editor for GGU's Environmental Law Journal, and a participant at the National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. Prior to law school, Anthony worked for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute in Washington, D.C., and volunteered at a sea turtle conservation project in Costa Rica called La Tortuga Feliz. He received his B.A. in 2006 from the University of California, San Diego.

Lucas Williams
Lucas Williams graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2008. He is currently an attorney at the Environmental Law & Justice Clinic, where he represents low-income and communities of color adversely affected by pollution. In law school, Lucas clerked for numerous public interest law firms, including Lawyers for Clean Water and the Center for Food Safety.
